Empowerment

Our services use a strengths-based, client-centered approach in order to empower all teen and adult individuals with various intellectual and developmental disabilities to increase independence in daily living, develop work skills and improve quality of life at home and in the community. We are providing services to North Idaho including but not limited to: Coeur d’Alene (CDA), Post Falls, Rathdrum, the Silver Valley, and Sandpoint.

Occupational Therapy and Its Benefits

Occupational therapists are specifically trained to and skilled in identifying specific physical and cognitive strengths and challenges in individuals during evaluations. Following evaluations, occupational therapists develop a personally tailored approach to meet the needs of each individual in order to build upon already developed strengths, address physical and cognitive challenges through skill development, modify environments, provide caregiver education/training, and implement compensatory strategies and/or adaptive equipment as needed in order to increase overall life and work skills. Our goal is to support families and our clients by increasing independence, confidence and competence in those receiving services and help all individuals achieve their highest-level quality of life to reach their goals and aspirations.
